Now this is exciting…pizza is coming to Casa Italiana!
Pizza first came around in Naples, Italy, as a fast, cheap meal on the go. But even though pizza is greatly popular today in the US, it didn’t gain the popularity it has now until the 1940s, when immigrating Italians brought their iconic slices to the United States. Now, about 350 pizza slices are consumed every second in the States.
